There’s always something new to learn in real estate.
This week, several members of the RE/MAX Saskatoon team travelled to Victoria, BC, for RE/MAX Activate 2026, the annual Canadian conference bringing together RE/MAX agents, brokers and real estate professionals from across the country.
Held September 22–24 at the Victoria Conference Centre, Activate is an opportunity to step outside the day-to-day work of real estate, connect with other professionals and spend a few days thinking about what’s next.
Learning, Connecting and Bringing New Ideas Home
Real estate is constantly evolving. The way people search for homes changes. Technology changes. Marketing changes. Markets change. And the expectations buyers and sellers have for their agents continue to change along with them.
Activate gives RE/MAX professionals an opportunity to explore those changes together.
Throughout the conference, attendees had opportunities to hear new ideas and perspectives, learn practical strategies they can bring back to their businesses, explore emerging technology and marketing resources, and connect with agents and industry professionals from across Canada.
Those conversations can be every bit as valuable as the sessions themselves.
Meeting agents working in different markets means comparing experiences, sharing ideas and learning what others are seeing in their communities. It also strengthens a national referral network that can become particularly valuable when a client’s real estate journey takes them beyond Saskatchewan.
Investing in Better Real Estate Professionals
For our Saskatoon agents, attending a conference like Activate isn’t simply about spending a few days away from the office.
It’s an investment in becoming better at what they do.
Every new strategy, connection or perspective our agents bring home has the potential to improve the experience they provide their clients here in Saskatoon and the surrounding communities. That matters because real estate has always been a people business.
Technology can make the process faster. Better tools can make it more efficient. Market data can help people make more informed decisions. But buying or selling a home remains a major life decision, and having an experienced professional beside you still matters.
Continuing to learn is part of providing that experience.
Local Knowledge, National Connections
One of the advantages of being part of RE/MAX is the ability to combine the knowledge of people who live and work right here in our community with the resources and relationships of a much larger Canadian and international network. Our agents know Saskatoon. They know its neighbourhoods, communities and market. Events like Activate give them an opportunity to take that local expertise into a room filled with professionals from across the country, and then bring new ideas, relationships and knowledge back home. We’re proud to see members of the RE/MAX Saskatoon team investing in themselves, their profession and ultimately the clients they serve.
We hope everyone who made the trip to Victoria had a fantastic few days, and we look forward to seeing what they brought home with them.
